Works supported by The Alexia Foundation will be at the Auckland Festival of Photography in early June, featured in a number of the festival’s Talking Culture events. We will be sharing the work of Alexia grantees and connecting with festival attendees.

The activities will begin with the New Zealand premiere of the first Women’s Initiative project, The Long Night, by Tim Matsui and MediaStorm on Wednesday, June 1 at 6.30.m at the Auckland Art Gallery Auditorium.
On Thursday, June 2 at 12 p.m. the festival will be projecting a selection of award winning images from The Alexia Foundation and discussing the goals of the foundation at the Auckland Art Gallery Auditorium.
The Auckland Festival of Photography is a city-wide contemporary art and cultural event which takes place throughout Auckland. It includes a mix of emerging and established artists. It’s purpose is to further the presence and awareness of photography in Auckland.
The U.S. Embassy in New Zealand is sponsoring The Alexia Foundation screenings at The Auckland Festival of Photography.
