The deadline for The Alexia 2017 professional grant is tomorrow, Jan. 31 at 5 p.m. Eastern U.S. Time. You have one day to apply for the $20,000 grant. The Alexia professional grant exists to enable professional photographers and visual journalists to produce substantial bodies of work that share the Foundation’s goals of promoting world peace and cultural understanding. Work that helps bring about change is more valued.

Students have two weeks to prepare their materials. The deadline for The Alexia student grants is Feb. 14 at 5 p.m. Eastern U.S. time. The Alexia student grants enable current college student photographers to produce substantial bodies of work that share the Foundation’s goals. They also provide opportunities for students to increase their abilities through workshops or other educational offerings.

If you are looking for help or advice with your materials, please see Mike Davis’ thorough FaceBook live video about the process.

Judging will take place Mar. 24 and 25 at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. Winners will be announced on or around April 8, 2017.

Apply now and help spread the word!
