The Alexia Foundation is proud to be an official partner of the 2017 Double Exposure Investigative Film Festival. Founded by 100 Reporters, the festival screens combines investigative film screenings for the public with a professional symposium for journalists and visual storytellers.
The festival will present discussions on diverse topics, such as leveraging new technologies to create more collaborative, interactive and immersive storytelling, protecting sources and subjects, addressing accusations of fake news, learning storytelling techniques to keep up with today’s faster news pace, cross collaboration in film and journalism and fact-checking. There will also be a pro-bono legal clinic.
Speakers are drawn come from all major media organizations, including The Atlantic, The Film Institute, Frontline, The New York Times, Propublica, the Tribeca Film Institute and others, as well as a number of high profile documentary filmmakers, journalists and authors.
The film selection will be announced in September. The festival is sponsored by the Reva and David Logan Foundation, the MacArthur Foundation, the Knight Foundation and many others.
