Dury’s will award gift cards that students can use for equipment and supplies to help them produce the picture stories that the students proposed to the Foundation.

Dury’s CEO Charles Small said, “We are committed to supporting the up and coming photographers and Dury’s has been doing so for over a century. Dury’s is a great supporter of the values of the Alexia Foundation and is looking forward to many years of working together.”

The student winners will receive Dury’s Photo gift cards in these amounts:

First Place$300
Second Place$250
3 Awards of Excellence$150 each

“Dury’s has a long history of supporting the photographic community, every since it become one of George Eastman’s first eight dealers,” Small said. “I have been aware of the excellent work of the Alexia Foundation since I was a student at Syracuse University (where the Competition is administered) and attended the annual photojournalism seminars and competition judgings. The Foundation made it possible for me to be exposed to some of the top people in the photojournalism business and was partially responsible for the way I look at our business today.”
