The Importance and Ethics of Documentary Photojournalism
A two-day photojournalism seminar featuring speakers from the U.S., Greece and Italy will be held in Thessaloniki, Greece, on March 13-14, 2010. The seminar is co-sponsored by the Alexia Foundation and the American College of Thessaloniki. The seminar will be at American College in AV Room, New Building, ACT Campus, Anatolia, in Pylea, Thessaloniki. Anyone interested in attending the seminar should email: akotsi@act.edu.
The Alexia Foundation's photojournalism exhibition "Eyes on the World" will open at the same time for a month engagement at the Macedonian Museum of Modern Art in Thessaloniki. There will be an opening reception from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 13, at the Museum.

The Alexia Foundation's "Eyes on the World" book displays the work of 18 past Alexia grant winners and presents work that has been exhibited at the United Nations building in New York, at the Pingyao, China, International Photography Festival, and at the UN Information Centre in Tokyo.
