Our first ever seminar of its kind, Latin America: Stories That Drive Change takes place this weekend, April 8 & 9 at the University of Miami School of Communication. The seminar will celebrate the work of Latin American photographers, while bringing in a diverse body of speakers who will help and inspire all visual journalists to make work that brings change.

For those attending, we have some important details to share with you.
The seminar is taking place at The University of Miami School of Communication. The address is 5100 Brunson Dr, Coral Gables, FL 33146. Parking is available in the lot behind the school.
Please plan to arrive at the school between 8.30 and 8.45 a.m for check in at the courtyard of the School of Communication.
Talks will be taking place from 9 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. in Room 3053 in the Communication International Building.
Break out sessions will be taking place from 3.45 p.m. to 6 p.m. in classrooms and labs on the 3rd and 4th floors of the Wolfson Building. You will receive your break out session assignments and their corresponding room numbers on Saturday morning.
The special Alexia Recipient reception will be taking place at the University of Miami Hillel at 1100 Stanford Dr, Coral Gables, FL 33146. We will be celebrating recipients of past years, holding a fundraising print auction and announcing The Alexia 2017 winners. Hillel is about a 10 minute walk through a gorgeous campus. There is also parking available beside the Hillel if you prefer to drive.
Sunday’s project reviews will take place in the same rooms as the break out sessions. You will receive your project reviewer assignments on Saturday morning along with your break out session assignments.
